Pierson Drops Debut Single: "Nine to Sick"
An anthem for everyone exhausted by the 9-to-5 grind.
Pierson launches their first single, “Nine to Sick,” as their way to talk about the daily grinds that often wear us down until we don’t just feel tired, but torn away from ourselves. It’s about a self that becomes fractured and uprooted by things we barely notice as they happen: small compromises, quiet pressures, the constant need to “keep it together.” Trapped in the rhythm of 9-to-6, the days blur into a numb loop from nine to sick.
A medium to express feelings that can’t be expressed openly, the single captures the reality of working, where expectations are not always met. The lyrics are written to sound honest, Even the good days can be suddenly ripped open by what happens between nine and sick: unexpected demands, misfires of hope, and the quiet dread of seeing the years ahead through while always feeling behind.
Told with a wall of guitar distortion and thumping drums alongside a groovy bassline, leading to a contemplative listening experience. This single will be accompanied by another single launch and lastly, by their first ever EP to be announced soon.
